    ✅ Deck or BottomBuckles/Lateral cracks – this damage usually occurs from pearling or nose diving the board into the bottom. Buckles look gnarly, but we got you. We ensure the integrity of your boards rocker and deck, remove damaged glass, fill the buckle, reshape and re-glass so the board is stronger than ever.

    ✅ Rails – fin gouges, rail bashes to the foam, hairline cracks. We repair them all - reshaping rails right is essential to the function of the board. We know this and will reshape the rail the way it was intended by the shaper.

    ✅ Nose & Tail Repairs – These high-impact areas often require tip repairs or sometimes fully snapped nose or tail rebuilds. From fish tail tips to longboard noses, we’ve seen it all and will reshape and re-glass with strength and performance in mind.

    ✅ Delamination – Rats! Your board has the dreaded bubble, which means your fiberglass is separating from the foam core of your board! It’s going to be okay, friend. We remove the delaminated glass, fill the void, and restore the structural integrity of the deck. You will feel the difference!

    ✅ Fin Box, Plug and Glassed-on Fin Repairs – You enjoyed that wave a little too much and rode too close to the rocks… or maybe you shot that shore break barrel… We have you covered. Future boxes, FCSII boxes, FCS I plugs, and glassed-ons - we repair them all and we repair them right!

  • Whether repairing a small ding or doing a larger restoration we can match the color or your board or add color design elements to hide the repair scar. Here are the most common types of color matching we specialize in:

    ✅ Spray & Spray Blend - spray paint is mixed and blended before glassing to blend the repair color into the existing color or pattern of the board.

    ✅ Resin tints – We tint resin using acrylics so that the repair area blends perfectly with the existing glass job.

    ✅ Pinlines & Detailing – For boards with pinlines or stripes we carefully replicate fine details to maintain the original design.

    ✅Color design - if a large repair leaves an undesirable scar, we understand aesthetics and offer color design services that will restore and update the look of the board.

    There are dinged noses and then there are nose rebuilds. Here are two color-matched nose rebuilds repaired by Vessel Surf on two legendary shapes, one by Austin Surfboards and one by Wave Tools, both performance 9’0s. Quality craftsmanship making my job easy y'all!

    Sending respect to the repairs that focus on form and function vs aesthetics. This Stewart Surfboards Colin McPhillips model has been well-loved. I replaced the cracked finbox with a new one, repaired and redrilled the cracked leash plug, repaired some delamination along the finbox and stringer on the bottom, and re-glassed the entire stringer.

    At Vessel Surf, we surf and stand by our repairs. Here’s Omer on a nice left-hander on his 6’3 twin pin by Starving Shaper Surfboards. During a session with bigger waves, his leash failed, and he lost the board to the Puerto Rican rocks. Here he is surfing the repaired board after a nose rebuild and rail and tail repairs.

    This Modern Falcon performance 8”0 was literally riddled with dings on the bottom and needed a re-glass of the nose and tail, but it lives to surf again!

    A tail build, nose clean up, sealing of rail cracks, and spider web cracking to the bottom of this Dead Kooks 7’2. I can’t express how much easier my job is when working on boards built with quality craftsmanship.

    Full nose rebuild on this 6'3 Denis Pang step-up short board. The nose of this board was completely crushed by movers. To repair, I cut the nose clean off, did a stringer rebuild, attached new foam to the stringer, reshaped the nose, and glassed. This was an interesting challenge since getting the nose rocker correct was absolutely critical, but we got it done.

  • This 9’0 Stewart longboard was literally snapped in half and then donated to Vessel Surf. This is a great example of a larger project board that took some time, but we got it done! This legendary shape lives to slide again. She surfs great too!
