Surfing is full of risks, and dings happen, but they don’t have to keep you out of the water. Whether it’s a rail crack, a crushed nose, or a fin box replacement, we’ve got you covered. From quick fixes to major buckles, we’ll get your board watertight and ready to slide. Shortboards to paddle boards, we’ve got you on a repair.
Color Matching
We get it, aesthetics matter. Your board was pristine and you are bummed out about white blob repair scars. Our color-matching techniques ensure your repair blends seamlessly with the existing board design. We match color by blending spray paint as well as resin tinting, and we will keep your vessel looking mint.
Restoration
It’s your lucky day - after looking at that marketplace ad for days, you finally bought that vintage board for a steal… but it needs some TLC before you can ride it. At Vessel Surf, sustainability is our goal. We aim to send fewer boards to the landfill and keep them underfoot and on the water where they belong. Some projects are much larger than just a few dings, and we are stoked to offer full restorations to bring these boards back to life.
Future Upcycle Projects
All surfboards, even “eco boards,” are primarily made with fossil fuel-derived foam, fiberglass, and resin. Regardless of how “sustainably” a new board is made, the reality is, there is a larger carbon footprint associated with buying new boards.
Vessel Surf is focused on helping folks enjoy the waves in a more sustainable way. Simply put, this means repurposing boards that are “beyond repair” and therefore keeping them out of the landfill. Every surf shop has a board graveyard. These boards are too damaged to surf and aren’t worth repairing for the cost, but the foam core of the board is usually viable, undamaged, and intact. Coming soon, Vessel Surf is excited to offer board upcycling!
Bring in that old longboard! Let’s strip off the old glass and shape that 9’6 into a board you are excited about! The new shape will then be glassed using flax or hemp cloth and bio-based epoxy resin and professionally finished. Let us help you turn something old into something rad!

From first-timers to progressing surfers, our coaching helps you build confidence and skills to catch more waves. We offer beginner, intermediate, and group sessions tailored to your skill level. Our lessons are designed to get you out on the water and keep you improving. Let’s face it, if you respect others in the lineup and catch more waves, you have more fun.
